There is a lot of discussion regarding the 9th-class curriculum for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic session. To provide clarity to our parents and students, here is the official stance and the academic strategy we are adopting at EduVision School System.
Currently, the government has notified that all students are required to study the full syllabus. While the “Smart Syllabus” was a temporary measure for previous batches, there has been no official announcement of a reduced syllabus for the new 2027 board exams. At EduVision, we believe that teaching the full curriculum is the only way to ensure students build strong, clear basic concepts. By not skipping any topics, our students become “ready for everything,” ensuring they face no difficulties in higher classes or competitive entry tests.
The EduVision Academic Strategy
We are not waiting for potential government reductions. Our Pre-Nine session is designed to cover the entire textbook. This comprehensive approach ensures that our students have a deep understanding of every subject, leaving no room for educational gaps. If the government decides to reduce the syllabus later in the year, our students will simply be ahead of the curve, having already mastered the core foundations.
9th Class Syllabus Updates: FAQs
Will Pre-Nine students study totally new books or the ones used in 2026?
The syllabus and books will remain the same as the recently examined students. New books are not being printed from scratch. The current textbooks were part of an “experimental edition.” Moving forward, the government will continue with these same books, simply updating them periodically to remove minor mistakes and refine the content.
Will the "Smart Syllabus" return for the 2027 Exams?
Currently, the answer is neither “yes” nor “no.” It depends entirely on the situation. While the government has advised all schools to teach the full syllabus, the Education Minister has announced three months of summer vacations. This may significantly reduce the time available to complete the full course. If there is pressure from students, teachers, or private/government institutes due to lack of time, a Smart Syllabus might be announced later. However, right now, full preparation is mandatory.
Why is EduVision teaching the full syllabus now?
We prioritize quality education over shortcuts. Teaching the full syllabus ensures that students don’t miss out on vital concepts that are linked to 10th-grade and F.Sc. topics. Our goal is to make our students competitive and knowledgeable, regardless of whether a reduction is announced later or not.
